Art

This is a pretty random post but I thought it was worth the time and effort. I am not an expert in the arts. I appreciate the talent it takes to create art in it's various forms. I think what I like the best is accidental art. Take this photo for instance. My sister-in-law was feeding her 19 month old a last few bites from her plate when this appeared. Our little carrot face. It was worth a quick photo.

Then there is this "mud head" Noah made. Now I realize this isn't a Picasso, but it takes talent to turn mud, grass, and stone into a man.

Enjoy!

Off the couch!

My brother Michael and I will be running the Cooper River Bridge 10K on April 5th. I used to run... before I started having children some 14 years ago. I am not a stranger to running, just a distant relative.
In order to get my non-running form in shape I started a training program titled "From Couch to 10k in 10 weeks". Today was my second day. This first week is pretty easy; 4-6 days of two miles walking/running an 1/8 of a mile at a time. 2 days down...68 to go!

Tae Kwon Do

Tonight was our first family Tae Kwon Do class. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art. It uses the legs much more than Japanese Karate. We learned some kicks and punches and even did a few sit-ups and push-ups. I am already feeling sore, tomorrow I'll be referring to it as Tae Kwon DoOohhh! We are all glad that we were the only students attending tonight. None of us had any style and one of us fell during a kick. We all looked a little dorky, but we'll get better!
